Wyznam szczerze, że istniał mile zaczęty tym, jak Darksiders Genesis zbiera się w rzucie izometrycznym, nie tracąc przy tym wpływie oryginalnych pozycji z cyklu. Darksiders Genesis skupia się z szesnastu rozdziałów, tworzących jedenaście aktów, podczas których przemierzamy różne rejony Piekła i Edenu. Stany te wiążą ze sobą sekwencje platformowe, rozwiązywanie zagadek, eksplorację oraz walkę z pomniejszymi potworami. Gra tymże stanowimy pięć „rozdziałów”, w jakich organizujemy się wyłącznie na konfrontacjach z prawdziwymi bossami.

Pięciu bossów chyba nie brzmi imponująco, ale gwarantuję, że wszystek utkwi Wam w myśli. Głównie dlatego, że jeden szybki sport i zazwyczaj umieramy. Gdy obydwaj jeźdźcy zginą, rozpoczynamy walkę z niedawna. Tutaj należy wspomnieć, że śmierć Waśni nie oznacza kraju jego historie. Przejmujemy wtedy kontrolę nad Wojną i wystarczy poczekać, aż nasz brat się zregeneruje, co ma kilka sekund. Powoduje to przedłużać walki, zwłaszcza jeśli jedną strona mamy słabiej rozwiniętą z innej.

Problem jedynie w ostatnim, że łatwiej powiedzieć, niż zrobić. Bossowie w Darksiders Genesis posiadają własne mechaniki. Na stanie normalnym, kiedy miałem znaczniejszy poziom energii niż zalecany przez grę, dało się wielu spośród nich zignorować, koncentrując na atakowaniu głównego przeciwnika. Zawsze jednak potrzeba było obserwować i zdarzyło mi się przystępować do wybranych bossów kilkakrotnie. Wspomnę jedynie, że walka z Astarte stanowi w moim odczuciu najgorzej zaprojektowanym starciem w wszelkiej grze. Wykorzystanie konia stanowiło dużo pomysłowe, ale kolejne czynniki są zwyczajnie upierdliwe.

Przejście całości na okresie normalnym zajęło mi dwanaście godzin. Przyznaję, że interesowałem się przy tym przednio, również z pewnością wrócę jeszcze do Darksiders Genesis – z niewielu powodów. W czasu obecnego sezonu nie odkryłem bowiem wielu sekretów, które aż sugerowały się o to, by dać na nie uwagę. Zwłaszcza bramy oszusta, które skrywają sporo dodatkowych rzeczy. Pod koniec przygody otrzymujemy również wstęp do wszelkich specjalnych przedmiotów, które ofiaruje się wykorzystać także na pierwszych mapach. Potraktujcie to jako zachęcenie do ponownego odwiedzenia gry.

Do ostatniego po wykonaniu całości odblokowuje się jeszcze większy poziom trudności, który służy tutaj funkcję New Game+. Sprawdziłem go zaś – niech mnie piekło pochłonie – jest bardzo ciężki. Darksiders Genesis wyposażone stało w porządek dodatkowych misji, które pragną wykonania pewnych rzeczy, zapewniając przy tym nagrody. I nadaję, że zdecydowanie proponuje więc do eksploracji. Tutaj podpowiem, że warto przeszukać również kryjówkę Vulgrima, która powoduje wiele sekretów i smaczków.

Przyjmę się, że obawiałem się izometrycznego Darksiders Genesis głównie ze powodu na grafikę. Obstawiałem, że Airship Syndicate, które odpowiada za tę dziedzinę, dostało mały budżet plus będzie pracować grę po kosztach. Jednak nawet jeśli właściwie było, nie dane mi istniałoby ostatniego zobaczyć. Z ściany wizualnej Darksiders Genesis wypada przyzwoicie, a nawet potrafi przyjemnie zaskoczyć widoczkami.

Moją opinię przykuły wielowymiarowe projekty lokacji. Nie musiałem rzucać się liniowo po wytyczonych ścieżkach, mogłem spaść do przepaści lub skrócić sobie drogę, zeskakując poziom niżej. I przy tym wszelki czas spotykał w takiej odległości przeciwników lub następne obiekty. To wszystko wyrażało się coraz lepiej podczas sekwencji platformowych. Pozytywnie zaskoczyła mnie i kamera, której pracę oceniłbym na skuteczną, gdyby nie kilka momentów, kiedy trochę utrudniała zabawę. Stary obecne zawsze nieliczne chwile, a przez większość czasu utrzymywała się wzorowo.

Mimochodem napomknę oraz o muzyce, jaka jest wspaniała. Inaczej nie mogę tego opisać. Każdy utwór pasuje do określonego momentu zabawy, i do tego niektóre przywodzą na poznawaj to, co mogliśmy zauważyć w Wiedźminie 3: Dzikim Gonie (wspomnienie o Wiedźminie 3 odhaczone).

Istnieje zawsze łyżka dziegciu w niniejszym poważnym dzbanie miodu, natomiast są nią niedokładne tekstury. Dawało się, że zaklinowałem się w którymkolwiek miejscu lub wsiadł do dziury, z której nie mogłem się wydostać. Najczęściej pomagała zamiana postaci, tylko dwa razy musiałem resetować cały okres. W Darksiders Genesis działa system automatycznego zapisywania gry, co w takich przypadkach bywa upierdliwe.

Spotkałem się zarówno z okazjonalnym znikaniem skrzydeł u jeźdźców. Do tego pomarudzić muszę na nieintuicyjną mapę, z jakiej się nie korzysta, bo odnalezienie się na niej chce większych zdolności kartograficznych. Pamiętam jednak nadzieję, że niektóre niedoróbki wychodziły z klas przedpremierowej, jaką przyszło mi testować, a odpowiednia aktualizacja wyeliminuje większości bolączek.

Niemniej dźwięk podczas dialogów potrafił sam zmieniać głośność, i do ostatniego faza słyszanych artykułów nie zgadzała się z napisami. Mimo iż w obu przypadkach miałem ustawiony język polski, istniałoby mało rozbieżności. Ponadto natknąłem się na parę braków w tłumaczeniu, ale to drobnostki względem jednej niedoróbki. Po zejściu z konia lub zmianie postaci następował półsekundowy bezruch jeźdźca. Podczas tego małego ułamku czasu traciłem opiekę nad bohaterem, co kilka razy uczyniłoby go do grobu. Nie mogłem bo w żaden sposób zareagować – albo to dokonać uniku, czy podskoczyć.

Darksiders Genesis to naprawdę dobra gra

Kolej na ostatni werdykt. Spodziewałem się po Darksiders Genesis zdecydowanie mniej, niż dostałem. Deweloperom udało się przyjemnie mnie zaskoczyć. Przeglądając sieć, widziałem mnóstwo porównań do Diablo, więc nastawiłem się na hack’n’slasha, a dostałem po prostu Darksiders w izometrycznym wydaniu, które pozwala radę. Pokuszę się nawet o stwierdzenie, że ten spin-off wypada lepiej niż Darksiders 3, które dla mnie było produkcją raczej średnią.

Perypetie Wojny i Waśni zdecydowanie popadły w moje gusta. Nowy program na część według mnie winien być rozwijany również nie obraziłbym się, gdyby drugie części robione były tak w takim sposobie. Bez wahania odrzucam charakterystyczny dla cyklu widok TPP na sytuację rzutu izometrycznego, który tutaj potwierdza się doskonale. Jeżeli miałyby powstać następne przygody jeźdźców, to doskonale życzyłbym sobie dalszej gry w współprac i możliwości sterowania kilkoma postaciami. Duet Wojny i Waśni udowodnił mi bowiem, że do tanga trzeba dwojga!
