Bus ride from Park Royal to Swiss Garden Hotel

Park Royal Hotel is one of the most luxurious hotels of Singapore which is located just beside the China Town multirail transit system. Unlike other hotels that have amenities spread across the entire premises of the hotel Park Royal is completely different and has a unique offering. The hotel has a dedicated wellness floor that features a gymn that is open for 24 hours and has private trainers for each of its guests, an infinity outdoor pool and a manmande garden walking area that is stretched across 300 metres.

Free wifi is available not only in the guest rooms but in the entire premises of the hotel. The hotel features pictursque views of the beautiful skyline of Singapore as well as the seas and oceans that are spread across several miles. The guest rooms are completely air conditioned and are furnished with wood. The rooms also have a personal safe, a flat screen TV as well as a mini bar.

Initially I had no plans of staying at this hotel but while booking my tickets for Malaysia from redbus.sg the Bus pick up point mentioned was this hotel. This is what made my mind to book a room here and I was quite happy with the experience. My stay here proved to be the best time on my Singapore tour as I got to see a lot of places and important land marks within a short span of time. Hong Lim Park, China Town, Raffles Place, Clarke Quay are all within walking distance from this hotel. The proximity of this hotel to the famous shopping belt of Orchard Road is what makes it stand out from all the other hotels.

There were about 4 operators plying from Park Royal Hotel to the Swiss Garden Hotel. The One Travel and Tours and KKKL Travels were the Operators that were plying Executive Coaches on this route. Starmart Express and Konsortium were the Operators plying Luxury Buses. The One Travel and Tours only had 2 buses plying through out the entire day both departing quite early in the morning. The first one departs at 5:30 am and the other at 6:30 am. The tickets are reasonably priced at SGD36 and is one of the cheapest modes of transport between the two hotels. KKKL Travels had about 2 buses plying on this route priced at SGD37. The first bus departs at 4:00 am in the morning and the second one at 4:30 am. I booked my Bus tickets with KKKL Travel and Tours as it was the only Operator plying at this time of the morning. I personally prefer travelling early in the morning as that it when the roads are quite empty with no traffic and you reach your destination faster. The duration of the journey is about 4 hours. However, if you leave at this time of the morning you might reach an hour early. Konsortium and Starmart had buses plying in the evening from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm. I was quite lucky that both my departure and drop off points were hotels.

The restaurant has some of the most panoramic views to offer and you can just keep on gazing on the skyline of Singapore while you dine. The beautiful ambience here will surely impress you. The Hotel can accommodate about 50 diners. It has been on the list of some of the best hotels of Asia for almost ever now. It is located at Sanford Road and is relatively quiet during the week days but bustling with diners during the weekend. It promises magnificent views – thanks to it being on the 70thlevel of the Swissotel. The Hotel is said to have impressed even the most non approving food critics. The Hotel features a 5 to 7 course menu each day catering to people with local and global cuisines.

Some of the rarest foods available are oysters, pigeon and caviar. The Head Chef here is Julien who has a ton of experience and has worked at some of the best restaurants across France. He is also the most highly rated French Chefs’ ever. The restaurant has floor to ceiling windows and has a grand feeling to it. The restaurant is sure to make a whole in your pocket. You can avoid doing so if you visit between 12:00 in the afternoon to 2:30 pm. This is the time when a three course lunch is priced at 78 dollars. However, this might not promise you the best experience of the Jaan Hotel. It can be best experienced during the evenings. I personally recommend you to try out the Confit Rainbow Trout which is cooked using pork and hay roasted pigeon and basil leaves.

Must try Vegetarian joints of Singapore

Many and more people are hopping onto the vegan bandwagon and switching to a healthier way of eating and living. Consuming vegan food has its own benefits, and while some consider it to be extreme, the results are there for all to see. Just ask Peter Dinklage aka Tyrion Lannister about it. And if you do, pass our regards to him! A visit to these vegan restaurants in Singapore could win you over.

Given that their located in easily accessible locations, the fastest way to reach them would be to get a bus ticket online from redbus and tour the city-side while you are at it.

Sunny Choice: Based in Rail Mall, Sunny Choice does not draw much attention to it, keeping itself simple and fresh and all things vegan. Cold-pressed juice is served before the mains for that enzyme boost and its organic produce includes fruits, vegetables and even chia seeds. Initially, when we stepped into this place, I was not aware that I was heading in to a Vegetarian food joint. As I looked through the menu, I came across pineapple rice, assam laksa and many other vegetarian dishes. I was quite happy with the vegetarian dishes served here and did not regret not walking into a non vegetarian restaurant.

Create Healthy Lifestyle Café: An organic café that not delivers on the quality of the products but on the price points too! Its budget-friendly menu does pull in a large number of people. So if you are up for sharing your table with other customers and don’t mind the constant piping of sounds, then you can tuck into some raw sushi just for $4! I found this place better that what it has been rated for. The food was quite like home cooked food. Some of the dishes that were served were quite good. To name a few, you must not miss out on their Thunder Tea, Sushi Row and Avocado Yoghurt.

Kampung Senang: This one is not just healthy, but looks to give back to the society in whatever manner possible, being an eco-conscious charity that looks to aid cancer patients. Their organic kitchen is also connected to their Holistic Lifestyle Centre that promotes holistic health and detoxification to several institutions through its many programmes. I just loved this place. Mainly because I am quite a health freak and everything that was served here was healthy and more towards holistic healing. I found the restaurant absolutely clean and their staff is also quite cordial. Another very interesting thing is that they have a tiny organic shop next to the restaurant. I enjoyed every bit of this place and would certainly visit one more time.

Gokul Vegetarian Restaurant: This is the kind of place that makes their customers feel safe about ordering anything off their menu, since everything is good. Don’t be fooled by the name – they don’t only serve Indian cuisine. They also serve up an array of Chinese and Malay dishes that can blow your socks off.

VeganBurg: VeganBurg is probably the most go-to vegetarian fast-food joint in the island, and with good reason. Their burgers feature a pan-fried soy patty and fresh vegetables sandwiched in-between soft wholemeal buns which taste seriously good together.

A bus ride to Johor Bahru from Malacca

3740960330?profile=originalMalacca is one city in Malaysia that has deep roots in history. A visit to this city will definitely take you back in time to witness the adventures and discoveries during Malacca’s golden age. There are plenty of historical sites in this city that has been regarded as the UNESCO World Heritage site in the year 2008. However, it is not just the cultural attractions but the city is also home to some of the most revered modern attractions like Water Theme Parks and Cultural Parks. The city has plenty of heritage buildings that stand alongside modern infrastructure making it a pleasant site for the eyes where you can immediately compare the history of Malacca and its present.

When I visited Malacca, I could practically experience the imprints of the British, Portuguese and the Dutch forces that were left behind in the forta, museums, churches and towers. Make sure to visit the Portuguese Square and the St. Johns Fort. It will be quite apt to say that the city is one place where different cultures have met and fused together from several years. Apart from the Portuguese influence that is quite visible on the city’s walkways there are also Chinese descendants living here that have adopted the local Malay culture. Being in the vicinity of one of the most beautiful city of Malaysia, Johor Bahru it is known to witness more than 20 million visitors in a single year. This has led to modernisation of routes and travel options between the two grand cities.

Initially I was supposed to travel to Johor Bahru for my tour there via air. But based on the recommendation of a friend I decided to travel to the city by Bus. I booked my Bus tickets from this website called redbus . The process was quite convenient as I did not have to visit the ticketing booth of the Operator. I also made the payments online allowing me to just hop on to the Bus at the departure point.

There are about 3 Operators who ply daily buses between Melacca to Johor Bahru – Starmart Express, Mayang Sari Express and SS International Express are the Operators plying between these two cities. Mayang Sari Express and SS International Express are economy coach Operators and Starmart Express is the only Luxury Coach Operator on this route. Starmart Express has about 7 buses pling throughout the entie day starting from 7:30 am in the morning till 1:00 pm in the afternoon. The cost of the tickets are a little on the higher side starting from MYR25 and the Operator truly justifies this by offering a host of amenities in the Bus. There are just 25 seats in a single bus making space for ample of leg room for you to spread out and sit. The total duration of the journey is about three and a half hours. However, I would recommend you to book a bus between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm when the traffic on the streets will be comparatively less.
