Bus ride from Park Royal to Swiss Garden Hotel

Park Royal Hotel is one of the most luxurious hotels of Singapore which is located just beside the China Town multirail transit system. Unlike other hotels that have amenities spread across the entire premises of the hotel Park Royal is completely different and has a unique offering. The hotel has a dedicated wellness floor that features a gymn that is open for 24 hours and has private trainers for each of its guests, an infinity outdoor pool and a manmande garden walking area that is stretched across 300 metres.

Free wifi is available not only in the guest rooms but in the entire premises of the hotel. The hotel features pictursque views of the beautiful skyline of Singapore as well as the seas and oceans that are spread across several miles. The guest rooms are completely air conditioned and are furnished with wood. The rooms also have a personal safe, a flat screen TV as well as a mini bar.

Initially I had no plans of staying at this hotel but while booking my tickets for Malaysia from redbus.sg the Bus pick up point mentioned was this hotel. This is what made my mind to book a room here and I was quite happy with the experience. My stay here proved to be the best time on my Singapore tour as I got to see a lot of places and important land marks within a short span of time. Hong Lim Park, China Town, Raffles Place, Clarke Quay are all within walking distance from this hotel. The proximity of this hotel to the famous shopping belt of Orchard Road is what makes it stand out from all the other hotels.

There were about 4 operators plying from Park Royal Hotel to the Swiss Garden Hotel. The One Travel and Tours and KKKL Travels were the Operators that were plying Executive Coaches on this route. Starmart Express and Konsortium were the Operators plying Luxury Buses. The One Travel and Tours only had 2 buses plying through out the entire day both departing quite early in the morning. The first one departs at 5:30 am and the other at 6:30 am. The tickets are reasonably priced at SGD36 and is one of the cheapest modes of transport between the two hotels. KKKL Travels had about 2 buses plying on this route priced at SGD37. The first bus departs at 4:00 am in the morning and the second one at 4:30 am. I booked my Bus tickets with KKKL Travel and Tours as it was the only Operator plying at this time of the morning. I personally prefer travelling early in the morning as that it when the roads are quite empty with no traffic and you reach your destination faster. The duration of the journey is about 4 hours. However, if you leave at this time of the morning you might reach an hour early. Konsortium and Starmart had buses plying in the evening from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm. I was quite lucky that both my departure and drop off points were hotels.

The restaurant has some of the most panoramic views to offer and you can just keep on gazing on the skyline of Singapore while you dine. The beautiful ambience here will surely impress you. The Hotel can accommodate about 50 diners. It has been on the list of some of the best hotels of Asia for almost ever now. It is located at Sanford Road and is relatively quiet during the week days but bustling with diners during the weekend. It promises magnificent views – thanks to it being on the 70thlevel of the Swissotel. The Hotel is said to have impressed even the most non approving food critics. The Hotel features a 5 to 7 course menu each day catering to people with local and global cuisines.

Some of the rarest foods available are oysters, pigeon and caviar. The Head Chef here is Julien who has a ton of experience and has worked at some of the best restaurants across France. He is also the most highly rated French Chefs’ ever. The restaurant has floor to ceiling windows and has a grand feeling to it. The restaurant is sure to make a whole in your pocket. You can avoid doing so if you visit between 12:00 in the afternoon to 2:30 pm. This is the time when a three course lunch is priced at 78 dollars. However, this might not promise you the best experience of the Jaan Hotel. It can be best experienced during the evenings. I personally recommend you to try out the Confit Rainbow Trout which is cooked using pork and hay roasted pigeon and basil leaves.

Singapore has a good network of roads and is very well connected. This makes traveling completely hassle free and convenient. If you are looking forward to visit all of the above places then i recommend you to travel by bus as not only will it save you some money but also time. Check out redbus for quick ticket booking and awesome discounts!! Bus no’s 55, 53, 76 will take you to Jaan Hotel.

Iggy’s

If you go to Singapore and ask a local which is the best restaurant around here he will surely name Iggy’s. It is the most award winning restaurant in the whole of Singapore and has its own unique menu. The restaurant keeps on adding newer and newer icons to its list which are not been seen or eaten anywhere else. Their interiors are quite premium and luxurious. It is located on one of the busiest roads of Singapore which is the Orchard Road. It is open from 12:00 am to 9:30 pm.

The restaurant also offers some miniature cheese cakes in small bottles. The restaurant has been successful for decades and has a completely new outlook now after a recent renovation. The patrons who are normally stereotypes might be disappointed as the restaurant now features fresh, colourful and quirky ambience. The restaurant features a semi-open kitchen and allows you to take a sneak-peak at the busy chefs.

Must try Vegetarian joints of Singapore

Many and more people are hopping onto the vegan bandwagon and switching to a healthier way of eating and living. Consuming vegan food has its own benefits, and while some consider it to be extreme, the results are there for all to see. Just ask Peter Dinklage aka Tyrion Lannister about it. And if you do, pass our regards to him! A visit to these vegan restaurants in Singapore could win you over.

Given that their located in easily accessible locations, the fastest way to reach them would be to get a bus ticket online from redbus and tour the city-side while you are at it.

Sunny Choice: Based in Rail Mall, Sunny Choice does not draw much attention to it, keeping itself simple and fresh and all things vegan. Cold-pressed juice is served before the mains for that enzyme boost and its organic produce includes fruits, vegetables and even chia seeds. Initially, when we stepped into this place, I was not aware that I was heading in to a Vegetarian food joint. As I looked through the menu, I came across pineapple rice, assam laksa and many other vegetarian dishes. I was quite happy with the vegetarian dishes served here and did not regret not walking into a non vegetarian restaurant.

Create Healthy Lifestyle Café: An organic café that not delivers on the quality of the products but on the price points too! Its budget-friendly menu does pull in a large number of people. So if you are up for sharing your table with other customers and don’t mind the constant piping of sounds, then you can tuck into some raw sushi just for $4! I found this place better that what it has been rated for. The food was quite like home cooked food. Some of the dishes that were served were quite good. To name a few, you must not miss out on their Thunder Tea, Sushi Row and Avocado Yoghurt.

Kampung Senang: This one is not just healthy, but looks to give back to the society in whatever manner possible, being an eco-conscious charity that looks to aid cancer patients. Their organic kitchen is also connected to their Holistic Lifestyle Centre that promotes holistic health and detoxification to several institutions through its many programmes. I just loved this place. Mainly because I am quite a health freak and everything that was served here was healthy and more towards holistic healing. I found the restaurant absolutely clean and their staff is also quite cordial. Another very interesting thing is that they have a tiny organic shop next to the restaurant. I enjoyed every bit of this place and would certainly visit one more time.

Gokul Vegetarian Restaurant: This is the kind of place that makes their customers feel safe about ordering anything off their menu, since everything is good. Don’t be fooled by the name – they don’t only serve Indian cuisine. They also serve up an array of Chinese and Malay dishes that can blow your socks off.

VeganBurg: VeganBurg is probably the most go-to vegetarian fast-food joint in the island, and with good reason. Their burgers feature a pan-fried soy patty and fresh vegetables sandwiched in-between soft wholemeal buns which taste seriously good together.

Your travel schedule to Malaysia may be well planned. But there’s always a different thrill to do something that is not on your list. After all Malaysia is much more than just malls, beaches and partying.

Travelling to and from Kuala Lumpur is quite convenient since it is a major bus terminal and express buses are the preferred mode of transport here. Tickets for which can be booked online from redbus.my. Alternatively, you can also download the Android or iOS app from respective App stores and save some time and money.

It has some very unique experiences to offer, especially if you are open to trying new things. If you said yes to that then here’s what you can do on one fine day in KL:

Pitch-dark dining:

Go a step beyond candlelight dinners and visit the Dining in the Dark restaurant. The meals are served entirely in darkness and customers are encouraged to focus more on using all their other senses while having dinner. Every sound, every moment and every taste is an adventure in itself here. You may think it is a challenge of some sort providing a unique experience and it is exactly that! It is a culinary experience like no other and one that you must have at least once in your lifetime. I was a little uncomfortable in the beginning but then I slowly started to realize the whole point of it! The taste of food is not always based on what it looks like. I will make sure that I visit this place again on my next trip to Malaysia! Make sure to try out some of their signature dishes on offer. The menu consists of cuisines from all parts of the world and is not restricted to a specific region. It is truly a must visit destination for every foodie out there. The staff is quite interactive and tell you about the dish as it is served. If you are lucky enough you might even be allowed to meet the chef who prepared the dish for feedback.

Take a walk in the sky:

No, really. Take the Skytrex and climb up the rainforest tops and cross different obstacles at least 22 meters high up in the air. The zip line challenges or jungle canopy adventure have rejuvenated the park's long forgotten attraction as Malaysia's first agricultural park. Take up the challenge and pump up the adrenaline on our many circuits at the various parks in which we are located and experience the best and most exciting forest adventure in Malaysia. Collect exclusive t-shirts, colorful buttons, trendy wrist bands, collectible fridge magnets, designer key chains, hilarious car mini suckers, sporty aluminum bottles, umbrellas and much more. This is an adrenaline-filled activity that will let you take in the best views of Malaysia’s skyline. The view from the top is amazing unlike the ones that you see from hotel windows. It provides a 360 degree view of the beautiful skyline of Malaysia.

Explore history when in Kuching, Malaysia

3739493076?profile=original

A trip to Malaysia, while including visits to the popular tourist spots of Kuala Lumpur and Penang, must also be one where you explore the hidden gems of this Southeast Asian country. One such gem is Sarawak that is most sophisticated and a melting pot of cultures in itself.

Buses, as is common throughout Malaysia easily do travelling within Kuching. Express buses plying to different cities are many in number and you can book your ticket simply via online, I would like to suggest  Redbus.my, for added convenience.

A mix of several different traditions and eras, the timeless charm of Kuching will mean that you can spend hours together ambling through its pretty alleys and roads. And when here,

these three museums are a must visit:

Cat Museum: Yes, you read it right. This cat museum is one feline lovers will make their second home. Learn more about how cats have been portrayed in stamps and films, and how they have been represented in Malay culture. Your cat-loving soul will be well rejuvenated. It is one of the world’s first Cat Museum and all cat lovers will find a huge range of pictures, exhibits, art and cat souvenirs. There are about 4000 of these available on display. The museum is housed on the ground level of the city hall building and is spread across a total area of 1000 sqare metres. A fee of about RM3 is charged for Camera and RM5 for a Video Camera. The museum is open daily from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. However, make sure that you do not end up here on a public holiday.

Ethnology Museum: All that you need to know about Borneo’s rich cultural history lies within this two-storied museum. The Iban longhouse, masks and spears, Kenyah and Kayan murals are housed upstairs while the floor below is a natural history museum. The museum is one of the greatest places to know more about this city, its traditions and also the people who live here. It was established in the year 1891 by Charles Brooke. The building has been modelled after the town hall in France’s Northern City. As soon as you enter the place you will come across 2 canons from the colonial times that have been proudly sitting here as a reminder of the past.Sarawak Textile

Museum: This museum does complete justice to traditional Sarawakian textiles—from Malay gold brocade, known as songket, ceremonial headdresses stitched in different patterns by the different groups of Iban, Penan and others.

Interesting historical landmarks and sites of Kuching include The Astana (the former palace of the White Rajahs and currently the official residence of the Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Sarawak), and Fort Margherita.

The oldest street of Kuching is the Main Bazaar, a row of 19th-century Chinese shop houses located along the Kuching Waterfront overlooking the Sarawak River. It offers the city’s best concentration of antique and handicraft shops. The Main Bazaar is part of Kuching’s old town, which also includes the Carpenter Street and India Street.

Sabah a must visit destination!!

3739396351?profile=original

Tiny by size, Sabah packs quite a punch with its gazillions of natural treats that will leave you feeling as though you have walked into paradise as it was when the earth was first formed. Jungles and parks teeming with the wild, mountains jutting out proudly against the skyline, welcoming diving sites. The gateway to some of Borneo’s best known offerings, the 72,500sqkm Sabah plays host to an array of indigenous groups including the Dusun, Kadazan, Lundayeh, Murut, Rungus and Sungai peoples.

Travelling to Sabah is made easier by the fact that express buses now ply to major towns in Borneo. These express buses are also the most convenient option when it comes to travelling through the country, and you can book the tickets online as well, making life easier for you. Refer to Redbus.my  for more information related to bus booking.

Falling just below the typhoon belt, visitors to Sabah come here for the challenging trekking and mountain climbing along the dizzying Crocker Range.

Borneo Sun Bear Conservation Centre: The smallest bears ever, watch them up close from an elevated viewing area or grab a telescope for further examination as you watch these beauties live in action in the wild. The best part about this Centre is that the bears are in their natural habitat. It opened its doors to the people in the year 2014 and since then witnesses 100’s of visitors every year. The bears are visible from an elevated glass viewing area. There are also a few telescopes that have been setup here precisely for micro examination. If you are looking forward to taking some souvenirs back home for friends and family you will be delighted to know that there is a gift shop within the Centre itself selling t-shirts, fridge magnets, small statues and keychains.

Tambunan Rafflesia Reserve: This Park is dedicated entirely to the world’s largest flower, Rafflesia, and the 12-species found here are native only to Borneo and Sumatra. The best part about this reserve is that it has full access even for the disabled. It is truly a pleasant experience and allows complete rejuvenation of the mind, body and soul. The best time to visit this place is early in the morning at around 7AM.

Tawau Hills Park: A park replete with natural trails that will take you on a tour that crosses the Sungai Tawau stream, Bukit Gelas Falls, 11 hot springs and many such wonders.

Mt Kinabalu: Its wild granite spherical peaks at 4,095 m above sea level, glinting in the morning sun, is a sight to behold. It is considered to be a spine-chilling experience once you reach to the top of this mountain.Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary: This privately-owned sanctuary located within an oil palm estate gives you the chance to observe these animals up close and personal. The remarkable males sport big dangling noses, reddish flat-top hairstyles, white tails and markings, and pot bellies. The females on the other hand, are much smaller and have up-turned noses.
