Nike Trainers Hiroshi Fujiwara, Tinker Hatfield and Mark Parker will once again make like a sneaker Voltron, combining their design powers to create new shoes that are greater than the sum of their parts. This time, however, the trio is working individually, each creating their very own shoe to contribute to a cohesive group. Hiroshi Fujiwara built the Air Max LD-Zero, Mark Parker the Air Max Ultra, and Tinker Hatfield?

Tinker created the Nike Air Max 90 Ultra Superfly that launches Air Max Day that s March 26, for the uninitiated marrying together cutting edge technology with one of the Swoosh s most iconic models. The Air Max 90 provides the upper, updated with a sleek, seamless Hyperfuse construction that bears out the Ultra title as does the cored-out foam sole. The real distinguishing feature is the collar though, a hightop Flyknit cuff that extends several inches up the ankle, calling to mind the unique bootie of the Mercurial Superfly soccer boot. Nike will once again outdoor label Pendleton for collaboration this spring. Rather than the usual NIKEiD team-ups however, the iconic Oregon brands will partner on a one-off colorway of the classic Air Max 90.
