Kate Middleton’s L.K. Bennett red dress that she wore to watch the match between Andy Murray and Vasek Pospisil on Wednesday is sold out. The dress sold out in just four hours since she was first seen in it. The Duchess of Cambridge showed off a svelte post-baby body in the flattering dress courtside.
L.K. Bennet is one of Middleton’s favorite designers. The 250-British pound ($385) Cayla design sold out fast as a result of the so-called Kate effect, according to Mirror U.K. She turned up the heat in the striking ensemble. The chic short sleeved dress ended just above her knees. The LK Bennett dress is listed on the brand’s website as “cardinal red” and a “go-to dress for that special occasion.”
The mother of two teamed the full-skirted high street design with a Diane von Furstenburg leopard print clutch and her trusty pair of nude court shoes. She accessorized her outfit with a Cartier watch and Mirabelle Lolita earrings. She completed her look with Ray Ban wayfarers that William sported. The young British royal sported a new shorter hairdo with layers and a fringe. Her brunette tresses were styled into her favorite glossy blowout.
She was joined at the tournament by Prince William, who wore a smart navy suit. There were also a host of celebrities who were in SW19 to watch Murray take on Pospisil. Kate is a regular at the All England Lawn Tennis Club and her center court look was chic.
Back in 2011 she wowed in a white pleated Temperley London dress and delicate gold jewelery. The stylish take on a tennis dress was the perfect choice for her first appearance at the tournament. In 2012 it was another sartorial success when Kate recycled her 1,000-British pound ($1,539) cable knit Alexander McQueen dress. The nautical-inspired design, which is from the spring-summer 2006 collection, was a perfect choice for the sporting event.
In 2013 Kate took her seat center court in a cream Joseph dress and tweed jacket. She accessorized with the same leopard print Diane von Furstenberg clutch. Last year she was a clear Wimbledon winner when she slipped into a broderie-anglaise Zimmerman dress and pretty raffia fan clutch.
