Johnson said film game industry, like other industries, is large enough to compliment multiple business models."We think that within a growing industry like ours there exists room for multiple business models to achieve in parallel," Johnson said, stating that video streaming sites such as the subscription-based Netflix and (mostly) free YouTube co-happen in harmony. He added that Activision Blizzard's own portfolio of games is diversified with free-to-play and paid games alike, along to revenue streams from things such as add-on content and microtransactions.
